New arrest in house murder probe

Detectives investigating the murder of a man on Merseyside have arrested a fourth person.

The 38-year-old woman, from Bootle, was arrested on Sunday - a day after the 31-year-old victim was found at a house in Netherton.

Officers found the man after being called to reports of an assault at the property on St Augustine's Way.

The preliminary results of a post-mortem examination suggest he died from a single stab wound.

Three other people, two men, aged 34 and 48, and a 22-year-old woman, remain in police custody.

All four suspects are being questioned on suspicion of murder.
