Leader of the drugs gang Brian Siner was jailed for 14 years

The leader of a Merseyside gang which ran a multi-million pound drugs racket has been jailed for 14 years, at Liverpool Crown Court. The gang operated in the Kensington area of Liverpool bringing in heroin and cocaine from Holland. Leader Brian Siner, 26, of Clint Way, Edge Hill, was involved "from beginning to end" the court heard. Police were alerted to his operation when residents reported a rise in shootings and street drug deals. 'Secretive deals' The court hear that although Siner, known as "Big Show", lived in an expensive apartment and drove high performance vehicles, the authorities had no records of any legitimate income. In all, officers recovered £750,000 of heroin and crack cocaine - but detectives believe millions of pounds' worth had already entered the city. Judge David Aubrey told Siner: "Day after day, night after night and month after month, those desperate secretive street deals were taking place in Kensington, destroying the heart of the neighbourhood.

"The addicts were driven by their next fix or wrap. "You had total disregard for your customers - they were simple money-making objects." Siner was joined in the dock by second-in-command Joshua Avis, 24, of Childwall Priory Road, Liverpool. Police caught him in October 2008 with heroin in his car. He was jailed for 13 years. The home of Louise Guy, 29, and her estranged husband Carl, 27, on Orchard Avenue in Liverpool was used to cut and mix the drugs. Guy, a bank clerk was convicted by the jury of conspiring to supply Class A drugs and was jailed for 10 years. Her husband was jailed for 10 and a half years. Mac-10 machine pistol Kyle Langford, 18, of Halsbury Road, Liverpool, who was involved in street dealing, was jailed for eight and a half years David Fairclough, 24, of Childwall Mount Road, Liverpool, was jailed for 10 years for his organisational role. Daniel Finnan, 23, of East Prescott Road, Liverpool, was arrested in possession of enough heroin to make 17,000 wraps. He was jailed for eight years for ferrying packages of drugs around in a taxi. Joseph Nee, 23, of Sheil Road, Liverpool, and Anthony Siner, 22, who lived with his brother Brian, were both jailed for six and a half years. Graham Johnson, 34, of Fowler Close, Liverpool, was the gang's armourer. When police searched his loft they found a Mac-10 machine pistol, a loaded Browning pistol and a disguised torch gun, all loaded with hollow point ammunition - bullets designed to explode on entry. He was sentenced to eight years.
