Man charged over estate gun shots

A man has been charged by police in connection with shots fired on a Liverpool housing estate.

A number of homes were damaged during the attack in Lordens and Fincham Road, Huyton, on Tuesday night. No one was injured.

A 26-year-old man from the Huyton area has been charged with possessing an illegal firearm and ammunition. He is due before magistrates on Monday.

Police said they believed the incident was related to an ongoing gang dispute.
