Man's death prompts murder probe

Police have started a murder investigation following the death of a 32-year-old man in Merseyside.

Francis Molyneux was injured in an incident involving a dark coloured Land Rover Discovery in Holt Road in Kensington on Thursday evening.

Four men arrested in connection with the incident have been released on bail while further investigations are carried out, police said.

Mr Molyneux, from the Kensington area, died in hospital on Friday.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Monday.

Detectives believe he may have been involved in a row with a number of youths earlier on Thursday evening in Holt Road.

Any witnesses are asked to contact Merseyside Police.
