Fowler admits phone drive offence

Robbie Fowler has signed for North Queensland Fury

Former Liverpool and England footballer Robbie Fowler has admitted using his mobile phone while driving.

The 33-year-old initially denied the offence but his solicitor said he did break the law, South Sefton Magistrates' Court heard.

It happened when the former striker was at the wheel of his BMW X5, on Netherton Way, Bootle, on 14 November.

Fowler, of Caldy Road, Caldy, Wirral, recently signed for Australian side North Queensland Fury.
