Man injured in fight at station

A 25-year-old man is being treated for serious head injuries following a fight between two couples at a railway station in Cheshire.

British Transport Police say the victim fell and hit his head on the floor at Chester station after he was attacked on Saturday at 2245 GMT.

The man, from Abergele, north Wales, suffered bleeding on the brain.

Officers are looking at CCTV footage from the station but would like to speak to any witnesses.

A 38-year-old man and woman, also aged 38, were both arrested in connection with the incident, but have been released on bail pending further inquiries by police.
