A Liverpool bar which was forced to close after a double stabbing has reopened.

Two men were attacked outside the Australian-themed Walkabout bar in Concert Square on Tuesday.

Merseyside Police applied for the bar's licence to be suspended on Friday, until extra security measures had been put in place.

The owners were ordered to install and maintain an identity scanning system and a knife arch.

It was also told it must serve drinks in plastic glasses after 1900 GMT.

A spokesman for the bar said it had reopened on Monday afternoon following a police inspection.

Merseyside Police said it would continue to monitor the situation closely.
