Murder inquiry over man's death

Police have begun a murder inquiry after a 42-year-old man was found dead at a house on Merseyside.

Officers were called to Holt Lane in Rainhill on Saturday night and found the man with head injuries.

Merseyside Police said post-mortem tests were due to be carried out to find out the cause of death.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested by officers and is due to be questioned. Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
