Schoolboy accident victim named

A 12-year-old cyclist who died in a road accident in Chester has been identified by police.

Joshua Easton, of Vicars Cross, was riding in Tarvin Road, Tarvin, when his bicycle collided with a white van.

The accident happened outside a petrol station at the junction of Green Lane on Friday. He died at the scene.

The van was being driven by a 34-year-old man from Leeds, who was uninjured. Cheshire police have appealed for witnesses to the accident.
