Man held on suspicion of murder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found at a house in Cheshire.

Police said officers spoke to a man who had suffered minor injuries in the Lovely Lane area of Bewsey, Warrington, on Wednesday evening.

After making further enquiries they found a man's body in a house on nearby Leicester Street.

A 39-year-old local man was arrested and is due to be interviewed by detectives later, Cheshire Police said.

Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen an agitated man in Lovely Lane between 2000 BST and 2030 BST on Wednesday.
