Shots heard on road investigated

A road was closed after shots were heard on a Liverpool street.

Police were called to Breck Road after a call from a member of the public on Wednesday night.

The road was closed for a time between Breckfield Road North and Belmont Road, as forensic examinations took place and police made house-to-house inquiries.

Merseyside Police said investigations were continuing, but there were no reports of anyone being injured or any damage being caused to property.
