Ex-councillor denies porn charge

A former Liverpool councillor has denied downloading child porn images.

Ben Williams, 34, pleaded not guilty to 10 charges of making indecent photographs and one of possessing indecent photos and pseudo-photos.

The former Labour councillor for the Clubmoor ward agreed to suspend himself from the party when the allegations emerged late last year.

Mr Williams, of Townsend Avenue, Clubmoor, was bailed at Liverpool Crown Court to re-appear on 5 January.
