A map or audio guide leads walkers along the route
|
A walking tour which takes people through Liverpool's militant and trade union history has been launched.
The Radical Route is the brainchild of the North West TUC and union UNITE to show the impact the unions have had.
Walkers will be taken around the city and through hundreds of years of history from the 1775 riots and Bloody Sunday to the present day.
A map is being made available to guide people along the walk and an audio guide has also been developed.
Those behind the scheme said it "aims to encourage to look at Liverpool's architecture in a different light and to remember the characters who made the city great".
The tour also marks the role played by groups such as the suffragettes and Liverpool's black community.
