A silent protest over abortions is being staged in Chester

Anti-abortion campaigners have staged a silent protest in Chester.

Supporters of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children formed a human chain near to the Oaklands Hotel on Hoole Road.

The society says more than six million unborn children have been killed since the 1968 Abortion Act came into force.

An amendment to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill could see MPs vote to cut the legal 24-week limit for abortions down to 20 weeks.
