Crimewatch appeal for city murder

Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Liverpool city centre are hoping a reconstruction on BBC's Crimewatch will help catch his killer.

Anthony Clarke, 45, was found unconscious at the junction of Church Street and Paradise Street after a night out in November 2007.

He had suffered serious head injuries and his life support machine was later switched off.

Police opened a murder inquiry after examining CCTV footage.

Mr Clarke, from Anfield, had been out for the night with his wife and friends when he became separated from them. He was found later outside a McDonalds restaurant.
