Rise in airport passenger numbers
Passenger numbers have increased by 500,000 at Liverpool's John Lennon Airport over 2007, according to the latest figures.

More than 5.5 million travellers passed through its terminal last year - a record number.

Over the past 12 months, a number of new flight destinations have been added to the airport.

Passengers can now fly to more than 60 locations from Liverpool, including Budapest, Tenerife and Salzburg.
