Murder probe over street incident
A murder inquiry has been opened after a man found with a fractured skull in Liverpool city centre died after his life support machine was switched off.

Anthony Clarke, 45, was found unconscious on 25 November at the junction of Church Street and Paradise Street, outside a McDonalds restaurant.

Mr Clarke, from Anfield, had been out for the night with his wife and friends when he became separated from them.

Police decided to open a murder inquiry after looking at CCTV footage.

Detectives are particularly keen to speak to two men who were seen outside the same McDonalds around the time that Mr Clarke was found.

Both men are described as 18 to 25 years old, white and of slim to medium build.

They were both wearing dark-coloured clothing and one was wearing a short-sleeved, dark top.
