The regional premiere of a film about John Lennon's killer Mark Chapman has been held in Liverpool.
"The Killing of John Lennon" tells the story of the disaffected and alienated young man who shot John Lennon.
Chapman murdered the former Beatle outside the Dakota Building in New York in December 1980.
"I think this story needs to be told because John Lennon was a public figure and a cultural icon," said director Andrew Piddington.
"The impact of Lennon's death is still being felt by many people today."
Mr Piddington said he decided to hold the regional premiere in Liverpool because of its history of articulating issues and debates.
The screening was followed by a question and answer session.
