Lifeboat rescues sea photographer
A man had to be rescued from a Merseyside beach after he was trapped by the tide while taking photographs of boats.

The man was on rocks near the entrance of the Mersey Channel at Hightown, Crosby, when the tide started coming in on Tuesday.

He called the RNLI at New Brighton who came to pick him up. He was returned to the shoreline unhurt soon afterwards.

The beach is just a few miles from the Anthony Gormley Another Place statues.
