Woman killed in road crash named
A 72-year-old woman who died after her car collided with a petrol tanker on a road in Cheshire has been named.

Maria Blazavich, of Tarvin Road, Chester, was driving the car when it crashed on the A5032 in Backford, near its junction with Gordon Lane.

Police said the driver of the HGV was not injured in the crash, just before 1200 BST on Saturday.

Mrs Blazavich died as a result of her injuries. Anyone who witnessed the crash is being urged to contact police.
