Police do not know why Lucy Hargreaves was targeted
Two people have been charged with murdering a mother-of-three at a house in Liverpool last August.

Lucy Hargreaves, 22, was shot dead at her home in Lambourne Grove, Walton, before petrol was used to set the house alight on 3 August 2005.

Kirk Bradley, 21, of Altfinch Close, and Anthony Downes, 20, of Woolfall Heath Avenue, both in Huyton with Roby, have been charged with her murder.

They are due to appear before Liverpool magistrates on Wednesday.

Three others are charged with offences relating to her death.

John McGee, 18, of Cottesbrook Close, Adam McNally, 18, of Townsend Avenue and a 17-year-old male, all from Norris Green, have been charged with conspiracy to steal a motor vehicle.

They are also due to appear before Liverpool magistrates on Wednesday.

Ms Hargreaves' partner and their two-year-old daughter managed to escape from the fire.

Police are urging anyone with information about the attack to contact them or Crimestoppers.
