Hi-tech quarantine centre for zoo
A new state-of-the-art animal quarantine centre is being built at Chester Zoo.

The idea behind the £500,000 unit is to provide a safe facility for exotic animals in transit to the zoo and other zoological centres around the world.

As well as animal enclosures, the unit will also feature a hi-tech hygiene air sterilization system to prevent potential cross infection.

Work at the zoo is expected to be completed by the summer.
