Fresh appeal over mother's murder
Lucy Hargreaves
Police do not know why Lucy Hargreaves was targeted
Police are renewing an appeal for information about the murder of a woman at her Liverpool home one year ago.

Mother-of-three Lucy Hargreaves, 22, was shot at her house in Lambourne Grove, Walton, before petrol was used to set the house on fire last August.

Her 28-year-old partner and their two-year-old daughter escaped from the fire through an upstairs window.

Merseyside Police are still unsure of a motive and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Ms Hargreaves' partner and their neighbours made several attempts to pull Ms Hargreaves from the burning house.

Detectives believe that three men were involved in the murder, with one or two going into the living room and shooting Ms Hargreaves, before starting the fire.

They are particularly keen to trace three people who were seen in a silver Mondeo, driving slowly past the house on Lambourne Road 24 hours before the murder.

Police believe the occupants may have been surveying the scene ahead of the crime.
