A teenage boy has appeared in court charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl in a swimming pool changing room.
The 16-year-old from Rock Ferry is accused making the victim perform a sex act on him, which is covered in the charge of rape.
The teenage girl was attacked in a changing room at the Europa pools complex in Birkenhead on 10 July.
The youth appeared before Wirral Youth Court on Friday and was granted conditional bail.
It is yet to be decided if the case should be dealt with by a youth court or move to Liverpool Crown Court.
Two other youths, aged 16 and 18, were questioned about the incident and released without charge.
