New parking charges at hospitals
Charges for visitor and outpatient parking are being introduced on Monday at two Wirral hospitals.

The charges have been brought in at Arrowe Park Hospital and Clatterbridge Hospital and coincide with the opening of a 568-space car park at Arrowe Park.

A charge of £2 a day is being levied at both sites although frequent visitors to Clatterbridge - which specialises in cancer care - will get concessions.

Some free spaces remain at Arrowe Park which now has 2,000 parking spaces.

The money raised will be used to maintain the car parks.
