Crimewatch appeal over shooting
The scene of the fire at Lambourne Road, Walton
Ms Hargreaves was shot before the fire broke out
Police investigating the murder of a young mother in Liverpool are making an appeal for information on the BBC Crimewatch programme.

Lucy Hargreaves, 22, a mother-of-three, was shot at her home in Lambourne Grove, Walton, before petrol was used to set the house on fire.

Her 28-year-old partner and their two-year-old daughter escaped from the fire on 3 August last year.

Post-mortem tests showed she was shot dead before the fire started.

Ms Hargreaves' partner, who had been sleeping upstairs, got up to investigate the noise and discovered the fire in the hallway of the home in the early hours.

He escaped through a bedroom window with the couple's young daughter.

Their other two children were staying with relatives that night.

Detectives are trying to trace three men believed to be involved in the murder, and a silver Lexus car they may have used.

CCTV images will be used in the appeal on Crimewatch on Tuesday.
