Chester City Football Club has been given permission to reopen its Deva Stadium after concerns over safety.
The group looking into the issues has lowered the crowd capacity allowed at the club's games from just over 6,000 to 5,489.
The Ground Safety Advisory Group - which includes the emergency services and representatives from the football club - met on Thursday.
They heard that the city council was happy with the safety improvements.
The council said the chairman of Chester City, Stephen Vaughan, has agreed to make crowd safety a priority.
Earlier this month a friendly between Chester City and Stoke City had to be played behind closed doors.
