A man has admitted the murder of a mother-of-three who disappeared nearly two years ago.

Chantel Taylor, 27, was last seen leaving her home in Birkenhead, Merseyside, in March 2004. Her body has never been found.

At Liverpool Crown Court, Stephen Wynne, 27, of Birkenhead, admitted murder at a hearing on Tuesday.

Wynne admitted an arson attack on a Birkenhead mosque a day after the 7 July bombings at an earlier hearing.

He is due to be sentenced for both offences on Wednesday.
