Garden centre calls in bomb squad
A garden centre was cordoned off after workers found what is thought to be an unexploded bomb on the premises.

The long cylinder-shaped device was found by staff at White Moss Horticulture on the North Perimeter Road in Kirkby on Wednesday morning.

Police say it is about 1ft (30cm) long and has a metal tip.

Officers from Merseyside and Lancashire were called to the scene and bomb disposal teams are examining the device before deciding what action to take.
