Arrest over prostitute's murder

A post-mortem examination revealed Ms Foy had been strangled
A man arrested on suspicion of murdering prostitute Anne Marie Foy has been released on police bail.

The body of the 46-year-old, of Kensington, was found in bushes on Crown Street near a University of Liverpool car park on 15 September.

Merseyside Police arrested the man after executing a warrant at a house in Netherley on Wednesday morning. He was later bailed until the end of January.

A post-mortem examination revealed Ms Foy had been beaten and strangled.
