Organisers of this year's Liverpool Irish festival say it has been a "resounding success."
The event aims to strengthen the city's links with Ireland and celebrate the city's largest immigrant community.
More than 6,000 people attended performances by Irish musicians, comedians and other artists, many events being sold out.
Council leader Mike Storey said it was "a real celebration of the culture and a great party at the same time".
Among those performing were comedian Patrick Kielty, Cracker writer Jimmy McGovern and The Undertones.
And about 200 people packed the crypt of the Metropolitan Cathedral to see Matt Molloy, John Carty and Arty McGlynn.
Festival organiser Dinesh Allirajah said: "This year's festival has been a great success and after the last few days of events, we'll be looking forward to next year's."
