Appeal over care worker's killing
Molyneux Road, Liverpool
Armed police response teams were called to Molyneux Road
The father of a care worker gunned down as he returned from a night out has made an appeal to bring his killer to justice a year after his death.

Craig Eaton, 22, who worked at Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, died from bullet wounds after he was shot on Molyneux Road in Kensington.

Merseyside Police believe his killing was a case of mistaken identity.

His father, Tony Eaton, says someone must have some information about his son's death.

Detectives believe the killer escaped with the help of several men waiting in a nearby car.

Information appeal

"Deep down I know there's a lot of people in that area who know something about what happened that night," Mr Eaton said.

"All I'm asking is for anyone who has got a conscience to phone the police and just let them know any bit of information.

"We're just waiting every day."

Police said at the time there was nothing in Craig Eaton's background to suggest why he was targeted.
