Man charged over parents' murder

A man has been charged with murdering his parents at their Merseyside home.

The bodies of Edward Mills, 64, and his 62-year-old wife Margaret were found at a house in Driveway, off Lickers Lane in Whiston on Sunday.

Robert Mills, 31, was charged with murder on Monday and is due to appear before Huyton magistrates on Tuesday.

The house was cordoned off on Tuesday as police collected forensic evidence and conducted enquiries. A post-mortem examination has been carried out.

The family dog was also found dead at the scene.
