Pcs charged in raid assault probe
Three police officers have been charged in connection with the alleged assault of a man during a Liverpool drugs raid.

Merseyside Pc Chris Jude, 27, was last week charged with assault following the raid in the Everton area on 31 March.

Pcs Steven McGhee, 28, Garry Doolan and Peter Gannon, both 33, were on Thursday charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice and misconduct.

All four officers, who are suspended from duty, were due to appear before Preston Magistrates on 22 September.

Pc Jude, from Warrington, Cheshire, is also accused of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Pc Gannon has been with the force three years.
