Police arrest ninth axe suspect

A ninth man has been arrested by police in connection with the killing of Anthony Walker in Liverpool.

Merseyside Police said they arrested the man on Monday.

Paul Taylor, 20, and Michael Barton, 17, were remanded in custody last month charged with murder and conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm.

The pair, who appeared via video link, were remanded in custody to appear at a court to be decided on 21 October.

The A-Level student and devout Christian was killed in an axe attack in McGoldrick Park in Huyton, Merseyside.

Six other men arrested over the attack are on police bail.
