Man's shooting 'caught on camera'

Camera footage from inside and outside the club will be studied

Police say the area where a man was shot in a Liverpool club while out celebrating his birthday was covered by CCTV cameras.

The 21-year-old victim, from Toxteth, suffered a bullet wound to his thigh at the Marquee Club, Victoria Street, early on Sunday morning.

It is believed he was an innocent bystander.

Police say they will be studying CCTV footage and want to speak to a group of men seen running from the club.

Pictures from the club's cameras, and those on nearby streets, will be looked at.
