Cathedral funeral for axe victim
Anthony Walker
About 3,000 people attended a candlelit vigil for Anthony
Hundreds of people are expected to attend the funeral of murdered teenager Anthony Walker next week at Liverpool's Anglican cathedral.

The 18-year-old student died after he was attacked with an axe in McGoldrick Park in Huyton, Merseyside, last month.

Two men, aged 17 and 20, have been charged by Merseyside Police with Anthony's murder.

An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned on Wednesday. The public funeral will be held on 25 August.

About 3,000 people took part in a candlelit procession and memorial service in Huyton one week after the killing.
