Man charged after woman stabbed

Angie Ncube escaped out of an upstairs window
A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a woman was stabbed and badly injured in her own home.

Gary Connolly, of Dingle, Liverpool, is also accused of burglary and attempted robbery, Merseyside Police said.

Angie Ncube, 28, escaped out of an upstairs window at her home in Bowood Street, Dingle, after suffering eye and leg injuries on Thursday.

Mr Connolly, 36, is due to appear before Liverpool City Magistrates on Monday morning, police said.
