Missing pensioner concerns police
Police are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of an 82-year-old man who has gone missing.

George Hazelhurst, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, is originally from the Wallasey area of Merseyside and had indicated his desire to return there.

Inspector Richard Padwell of Dewsbury Police said he was concerned for Mr Hazelhurst's welfare, "particularly during this spell of cold weather".

A Police helicopter and volunteers are involved in the search in Yorkshire.

Police say Mr Hazelhurst was last seen at about 1400 GMT on Monday 20 December.

He is described as white, with a slim build, clean shaven, with grey thinning hair, and was last known to be wearing dark navy trousers, tan shoes and a grey patterned jumper.
