Fourth man charged over Manchester shop shooting

A fourth man has been charged in connection with the murder of a shop worker in Salford.

Nasar Hussain, 30, was shot in the chest and stomach at Brookhouse Wines in Winton on 4 July.

Akmal Afzal, 24, of Bradford Road, Bolton, has been charged with assisting an offender and possession of a prohibited weapon.

He is due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. Three other men are charged with murder.

Simeon Henderson, 27, of no fixed abode, Ryan Manning, 21, of Bird Street, Higher Ince, and Mohammed Hafiz, 42, of Woodlands Road, Cheetham Hill, are due to stand trial next month.

Mr Hussain was treated at the shop by police and paramedics before being taken to hospital, but doctors could not save his life.

The Pakistani national, known locally as Nasar Shazad, had lived in Salford for about six months.
