A three-year-old boy who died after being hit by a car in Greater Manchester has been described as a "mischievous angel".

Harley Richardson's family have paid tribute to the little boy, killed in a road accident in Chorley Old Road, Bolton on Wednesday night.

He was struck by a Vauxhall Astra and died shortly after.

Harley's mother Natasha Melville said: "He was a really good, mischievous character who everybody loved."

"I am numb and completely empty, he was my angel," she added.

David Richardson, Harley's father, described his son as "precious".

He said: "I don't know how to feel, except sick. It just does not feel real.

"His three brothers will never get to bond with him."

Harley's elder sister, five-year-old Taya, added: "I really liked playing with him."

Greater Manchester Police have appealed for anyone with any information about the incident to contact them.
