Teacher charged with sex offences in Greater Manchester

A teacher has been charged with a string of sex offences against two teenage girls in Greater Manchester.

The 28-year-old is accused of 18 counts of sexual activity with a child, along with abusing his position of trust, threats to kill and common assault.

He was arrested after police were called to a flat in Ellesmere Road, Eccles, early on Sunday. He will appear before Salford magistrates on Tuesday.

The Crown Prosecution Service said the girls were 15 and 16.
