Four men arrested after shooting

Four men have been arrested after a man was shot twice in each leg at his home in Greater Manchester.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was attacked at his house in Vernon Street, Bury, at 1300 GMT on Monday.

He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not considered life threatening, a police spokesman confirmed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers. Police said they were not yet able to confirm a motive.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and two others, aged 20 and 27, have been arrested on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

A fourth man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob.

All remain in police custody for questioning.
