Death of Pc no longer suspicious

The death of a female police officer, 37, is no longer being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.

A 39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the murder of Pc Vijay Singh has been released without charge.

The Greater Manchester Police officer was discovered at her family house in Osborne Road, Longsight, on Tuesday.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) had been informed after recent contact between the arrested man and Ms Singh.

A spokesman for GMP said: "The death has now been passed to the coroner.

"There had been a referral to the IPCC over previous contact with the deceased."
