Man charged over street shooting

A 27-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Greater Manchester.

A man, aged 26, suffered gunshot wounds to his leg during an incident on Yorkshire Street, Rochdale, in the early hours of Friday.

The victim remains in hospital in a "stable condition", police said.

Khalil Mohammed, 27, of South Street, Rochdale, has been charged with attempted murder. He will appear before magistrates later.
