Shop gun death accused in court

A man has appeared in court accused of murdering a Greater Manchester shop worker who was shot six times.

Nasar Hussain was working in Brookhouse Wines in Salford when he was shot in the chest and stomach on 4 July.

Ryan Manning, 20, of Bird Street, Higher Ince, appeared before Manchester magistrates and was remanded in custody until 28 September.

Mr Hussain was a Pakistani national known locally as Nasar Shazad, and had lived in Salford for about six months.

A 17-year-old youth arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder is on bail until 15 July.

Nine other men and two women also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder are on bail until 17 August pending further inquiries.
