Gun charge in fatal pub shooting

A 21-year-old man has been charged with possessing the gun allegedly used to kill a 16-year-old outside a pub in Greater Manchester.

Michael Egerton, of Buckley Avenue, Gorton, charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, is to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 7 July.

Giuseppe Gregory died after being shot outside the Robin Hood pub on Barton Road, Stretford, on 11 May.

A 17-year-old youth has been charged with murder over his death.

The male defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is also charged with four counts of attempted murder, possession of an illegal firearm and possession of cocaine.

Njablo Ndlovu, 18, of Croydon Drive, Newton, has been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

The pair will next appear before Manchester Crown Court on 28 August.
