Nursery image probe man remanded

A man has appeared in court in relation to indecent images of children found in an investigation which led to the arrest of a nursery worker.

Colin Blanchard, 38, from Greater Manchester, will now face joint charges with Vanessa George, 39, who worked at Little Ted's nursery in Plymouth.

Ms George is accused of four counts of sexual assault and distributing indecent images.

Mr Blanchard is charged with four offences relating to indecent images.

Mr Blanchard, from Littleborough, near Rochdale, appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

He has been charged with distributing, making and possessing indecent images of children and possession of extreme pornographic images.

He is due to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on 23 June when his case is expected to be sent to Plymouth Crown Court to be joined with the case of Ms George.

The mother-of-two was arrested following Mr Blanchard's arrest.

Ms George, from Plymouth, has already been remanded in custody, and is next due to appear before Plymouth Crown Court on 21 September.
