Police trio suspended in IT probe

Three Greater Manchester Police (GMP) workers have been suspended over allegations of "inappropriate use" of computers at work.

Three male staff members, understood to work in the Corporate Communications department, are being investigated.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Three men have been suspended... over alleged inappropriate use of IT systems."

The department, with about 30 staff, is responsible for GMP's public relations.

The GMP added: "As the investigation is still active it would be inappropriate to make any further comment."
