Boy, 16, killed in pub shooting

A 16-year-old boy has been shot dead at a pub in Greater Manchester.

Police were called to the Robin Hood in Barton Road in Stretford, late on Sunday night, after reports of shots being fired.

A boy was taken to Trafford General Hospital with gunshot wounds to his head. He died a short time later, police said.

Three men, aged 18, 20 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They are due to be questioned.

Det Ch Insp Howard Millington, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "Police inquiries are at a very early stage but we are urging anyone with any information to come forward."
